Actually the “new” in the title of this article is a bit misleading. Awa Kamogawa is actually a classic south Chiba surfing point. But with the new reduced tolls on the Aqua Line tunnel/bridge route from Kanagawa it’s been drawing more out-of-towners.

This post is from the spring JFW shows. I always love Nozomi Ishiguro’s shows, they never fail to offer something pleasingly theatrical. Whether they’re held in a hostess club or an open plaza in Kabukicho. This one was held in a stripped down building in Gotanda. If my own photos had turned out better, I’d post more. The eye make-up was just awesome.

Prada Japan lawsuit @stylelist

I went to hear Rina Bovrisse, the woman suing Prada Japan for harassing female employees, speak at the Foreign Correspondent’s Club (resulting coverage on stylelist). Oddly enough (or perhaps not odd at all), this wasn’t even news in Japan until the local press noticed it had become big news overseas.
